The best of the Hackenviertel and the Kreuzviertel, all in one place

Be at home in the very heart of Munich's Old Town.

The history of Munich on your doorstep

The Joseph Pschorr Haus is located right in the heart of Munich, where two of the city's oldest districts meet. Strolling from the pedestrian zone to the south, you will enter the Hackenviertel, which used to be a quarter known for its skilled craftsmen and merchants.

Today a wide range of retail outlets and a diverse selection of bars, cafes and restaurants can be found here. To the north of the pedestrian zone lies the Kreuzviertel. The former spiritual centre of the city, this district still holds numerous churches. The Jesuit college, the Alte Akademie (Old Academy) and St. Michael's church are well-preserved buidings from bygone days.
